NIXOL, de oplossing voor kas- en tuinbouw!


Sinds haar oprichting in 1957 is de (glas) tuinbouw een belangrijke markt voor FARBALL coatings. De producten van Farball worden gebruikt in vele landen over de hele wereld.


Er worden zeer strikte eisen gesteld aan coatings voor de glastuinbouw. Aan de ene kant zijn ze bedoeld om het klimaat in de kas te regelen (een schermmiddel zoals Nixol is een voorbeeld van een dergelijk product) aan de andere kant mag de coatings geen schadelijk effect op het gewas in de kas. Naast schermmiddelen heeft Farball Coatings heeft een compleet aanbod van anti-corrosieve coatings en ​​onderhoud producten voor een verscheidenheid aan toepassingen binnen en buiten de kas.  		   

NIXOL, NIXOL Transparant en NIXOL InfraRed+

NIXOL, een schermmiddel, is een product dat de gebruiker in staat stelt om op een goedkope manier het klimaat te reguleren. NIXOL wordt aangebracht aan de buitenkant van de kas of tunnel. De mate van verdunning waarin NIXOL wordt toegepast is van invloed op de lichtintensiteit en temperatuur in de kas. NIXOL is een product dat tijdens een regenbui niet van de kas of tunnel afregent.


NIXOL Transparent heeft de eigenschap in natte toestand transparanter te worden dan in droge toestand. Hierdoor krijgt men in donkere natte dagen meer licht binnen. 

Ook bestaat de mogelijkheid de coating nat te spuiten en zo een grotere lichtintensiteit in de kas te krijgen. 


NIXOL InfraRed+ is een golflengteselectief schermmiddel dat InfraRood (IR) licht blokkeert.

NIXOL InfraRed+ geeft bij minder scherming eenzelfde temperatuurverlaging t.o.v. de reguliere schermmiddelen. NIXOL InfraRed+ is geschikt voor glas, PE-folie, EVA-folie of Polycarbonaat.

NIXOL, the solution for horticultural industry


Since its establishment in 1957, the (greenhouse) horticultural industry has been an important market for FARBALL COATINGS. Farball products are used in many countries throughout the world.

Extremely strict requirements are placed on coatings for greenhouse horticulture. On the one hand, they are intended to regulate the climate within the greenhouse (a shading compound such as Nixol is an example of such a product) on the other hand, the coatings must not produce any harmful effect on the crop in the greenhouse. As well as shading compounds, Farball Coatings has a complete range of anti-corrosive coatings and maintenance products for a variety of applications inside and outside the greenhouse. 		  

NIXOL, NIXOL Transparant and NIXOL InfraRed+

NIXOL, a shading compound, is a product that enables the user to regulate this climate in a cheap way. NIXOL is always used on the outside of the greenhouse or plastic tunnel. The amount of water added to NIXOL is of influence on the light intensity and temperature in the greenhouse. NIXOL is a product that doesn’t rain off from a greenhouse.


NIXOLTransparent will become more clear when wet or damp. When NIXOL Transparent is dry it will be white again. So when it is dark and rainy more light will enter the greenhouse, but when the sun is shining during the summer, NIXOL Transparent will become white and reflect most of the sunlight. 

There is also the possibility to spray the coating with water to get more light into the greenhouse during dry days.



NIXOL InfraRed+ is a wavelength selective shading-compound that blocks infrared (IR) light and thereby reduces the heat in the greenhouse, caused by sunlight. NIXOL InfraRed+ gives at lesser shading the same decrease in temperature compared to the regular shading-compounds.NIXOL InfraRed+ can be used on glass, PE-foil, EVA-foil or Polycarbonate.
